We intend to have a meeting on Friday night after training to finalise details and numbers for the tour to Spain in 2018. Below is an outline of the plan for tour:

We intend to travel from Shannon around 11am on Sat 14th April to Reus airport, arriving at our resort around 3pm.
The resort is Cambrils Park Resort. It is a self contained resort with 3 swimming pools/slides, sports complex and restaurants etc. The accommodation is full board so all meals are included. There is a beach and town within 10 mins walk.
The sports complex will allow for soccer/ volleyball tournaments and swimming in the evening.
We plan to have a rugby game against a Barcelona based team on the Sunday morning and some sightseeing (Noucamp stadium etc) that afternoon.
The cost includes entry to the Portaventura Theme Park on the Monday. This is a massive theme park and boasts the highest roller coaster in Europe!!
We fly home on Tuesday around 3pm back into Shannon around 5pm.

Cost & Fundraising
The cost of the trip is €450 per head all in. Our aim is to have each player raise his own funding for this amount between now and the end of February. To aid this, we have organized a Mouse Race Night to be held on Friday 2nd February in the clubhouse. Each player travelling will be given a sponsorship card next week where there will be an opportunity to raise 100% of their own funding i.e. the full €450.

There are a number of ways that each player can raise their own funds;

A) Get local businesses to sponsor adverts in the mouse night race programme – Full page ad €100 – Half page ad €50
B) Get local businesses to sponsor a race – €50
C) Get anybody you can to sponsor a mouse in the race – Jockey €10, Trainer €10, Owner €10

The aim of this fundraising night is to structure it in a way which does not put undue financial pressure on any person, and to give everybody the option to fundraise the full cost.

On Friday night we intend to try to finalise numbers. To this end we will meet after training where we will have a Q&A session and take names.
